The Story So Far...

Love You Tattoo started with a simple idea — create a private, creative space where tattoos get the time and attention they deserve. No walk-ins, no rush, no distractions. Just you, your artist, and the vision we’re bringing to life.

Our studio is a little different. We work out of a converted trailer parked at Refuge Coffee + Beer Garden on the Far West Side of San Antonio. It’s cozy, it’s personal, and it’s ours. The setup lets us focus on each client completely, start to finish, while you relax in a space that feels comfortable instead of chaotic. You can even grab a latte or a beer before your appointment.

Love You Tattoo is owned and operated by two experienced artists who live and breathe their craft. I’m Crystal Qualls, and alongside my partner Kelley Donovan, we’ve put decades of combined experience into building a studio that reflects what we love most about tattooing — the art, the connection, and the stories behind each piece.

We specialize in custom work that fits you, not just a trend. From time to time, we’ll pull inspiration from San Antonio itself — the colors, the culture, the energy of this city. Our goal is to make tattoos that look great today and will still look great years from now.

Hi! I'm Crystal!

Where art meets intention and your tattoo actually means something.

Hey, I’m Crystal. I’ve been tattooing for over 12 years, but honestly, I’ve been drawing on anything I could get my hands on since I was a kid. I’m not the type to rush people through just to check a box. I care about the work, the story behind it, and making something that actually lasts, not just something that looks good for a few likes.

My style leans toward clean linework, floral pieces, bold but thoughtful designs. I love tattoos with a little meaning, even if the meaning is just “this looks cool and I love it.” From time to time, I’ll pull from my own experiences or San Antonio’s vibe to bring something extra into the piece – a little soul, a little personality, something that hits different.

Love You Tattoo is something I’ve dreamed of for a while. It’s a private space tucked behind Refuge Coffee – cozy, creative, and built to make people feel welcome.
